SLATE MTI2 WITH MIXBUS 32C V5 UPGRADE SLATE MTI2 WITH MIXBUS 32C V5 TV Right now it seems a little bit alien to me, I know it is simple, but I have never had a real console like this, so it is different and I have to understand in which way to work, but yes, it sounds incredibly beautiful, a have succumbed in front of it, totally seduced just like you. Wow, more than 300 mixes on it? That's a lot! It means a lot to us, because this is 'experience' and nothing compares to experience. I've done over 300 mixes in it and never disappoints. Also, it will improve with experience (get into the busses with the Drive and spend a bit of time gain staging etc). Instead of 3 modes, we now provide a carefully voiced master-bus 'glue' compressor with a progressive ratio, Emphasis knob, and internal 3-stage design that follows your track dynamics to gel your mix.Yeah, when tracking in Reason I often succumb to the temptation to stem out to MB before its fully finished in Reason Glad you've discovered it. The Master bus 'glue' compressor has been re-voiced to work together with the final limiter. The new 'orange' mode provides a richer harmonic profile than the old tape saturation, and retains more low-end when you drive it hard. Filtering the bass from unnecessary elements helps to keep your mixes clean and focused.Ģ Tape Saturation colors are now provided for each of the 12 mixbuses, allowing you a choice of 2 different colors ('yellow' and 'orange') as well as the ability to disable the tape saturation entirely by disabling both buttons. The reciprocal push/pull action of the reduction LEDs provides great feedback 'in context' without having to open any plugins or even the channelstrip element.Ī new 'Drive' feature on every input channel strip can add 'hair' to bass and vocal tracks, which helps them stand out in a busy mix.Ī high-pass filter on the mixbus 'tone' equalizer allows you to filter your instrument groups and effects without visiting each track in the group. The new gate reports its gain-reduction beside the fader, just like the channelstrip compressor. The result is smoother mixes!Īn exciting new full-featured Gate/Expander that can tame the bleed in your live tracks, or add more expressive and dynamic articulation to pre-recorded loops and sounds. The new 'Emphasis' knob allows you to access more vintage character by forcing the compressor to react more quickly to harsh sounds. SLATE MTI2 WITH MIXBUS 32C V5 TV You can emulate a life-size console on a 4k TV or monitor.Ī re-engineered 32C EQ that provides an even more accurate recreation of the original 1975 analog circuit, with updated EQ curves and a more accurate text representation of the frequency and gain in the channelstrip text display.Ī new full-featured Compressor on every channel and mixbus, providing all of the sound and control you would expect in a standalone compressor while retaining the popular 'mode' selections found in previous versions of Mixbus. New 'Blonde Bop' drum instrument from AVL DrumsĪ new high contrast design with an expanded look and feel of a full-featured analog console strip. Multi-bus VST3 instruments can be 'fanned out' to multiple tracks with appropriate mono/stereo configuration and names. SLATE MTI2 WITH MIXBUS 32C V5 UPGRADE The first major upgrade to the Mixbus32C mixer since its inception 7 years ago: we've updated the sound, look, and operation of the mixer page. With a heavy focus on expanding and improving the sound and workflow of the analog vibe found in Mixbus32C, we have implemented a lot of new features to help you get a whole new sound from your mixes. Version 9 was developed to meet more of your expectations: more 'analog vibe' to further reduce the need for plugins  more controls on the built-in compressor a channelstrip gate larger text and better usage of space on 4k monitors. Mixbus has always been the best workstation for mixing it has a knob-per function interface that lets you work without leaving the flow state. We call this 'mixing in context' and it is largely this ability to stay in the flow that makes Mixbus better than other DAWs. boosting a little here, and cutting a little there. The most important feature of a mixer is the unique ability to work on many tracks at once. Your best mixes happen when you are 'in the flow'. #Neil young unplugged tv# Critics hailed the 'new' arrangements for the slower Mr. The tension reflected on the show, which was bad and there was a foul mood. To add to that Tim Drummond asked Neil's manager (who talked Neil into doing this, to increase his popularity with the mainstream public.) for more money. The only one that was good was Nils Lofgren, then again he also played with Neil on Tonight's the Night for which they didn't rehearse AT ALL. The band had no idea what they were playing even though they rehearsed the day before. At that time he said that 'that band wasn't right in the first place' so he should've known it was going to be a disaster. He did the show with the Stray Gators, the band he did Harvest and the Time Fades Away tour with. as a matter of fact he did it twice! But Neil was so unpleased with the recording of the first show (from which he almost backed out of, because he really didn't want to do it) that he made a second attempt. This didn't stop him from going on MTV's Unplugged show though. When Neil gave his acceptance speech however there were problems with his microphone. #Neil young unplugged tv# Amazingly MTV named the video 'best video of the year' after it became very popular on other TV channels. Neil was quoted as saying 'does the M in MTV stand for music or for money?' and 'MTV should be called television Music rather than Music Television'. The truth is those were MTV's big stars and the companies were there sponsors and Neil got to their wallet and MTV didn't like that. The video was subsequently banned from MTV because of the so called reference that were made to certain brand names. Neil criticized artists like Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton and Whitney Houston for selling out and appearing in commercials, something Neil never did. It all began with the video for 'This Note's For You'. Neil has always had a weird relationship with MTV. Neil should've never allowed MTV to release this.
